This study investigates the potential for renewable energy generation through the installation of wind turbines in the Rasht Industrial Park. Using HOMER software, the average wind speed in this area was determined to be 6.58 meters per second, and the feasibility of utilizing 141 3-kilowatt wind turbines for electrical energy supply during the warmer months was analyzed. In this study, electrical loads were identified and analyzed based on load type (industrial), and then the system was optimized considering economic parameters such as discount rate, inflation rate, and project lifespan. The results indicate an annual electricity generation of 722,128 kilowatt-hours from these turbines, with a levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of $0.167 per kilowatt-hour and a net present cost (NPC) of $16,492,240. These findings demonstrate the high economic and technical capabilities of utilizing wind energy in the Rasht Industrial Park to reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources and enhance energy sustainability in the region.
